The Forest Edge - Forests from The Philippines and Beyond

Bamboo Kids, Forest River
Bamboo Kids, Forest River
Bridges of bamboo cross rivers and springs in the forest. On my way to visit a forest community, I found this group of kids resting and playing. Bamboo is bundled together by forest vines and keeps the forest pathways open. These lifelines allow forest products, such as fruit and coconuts, to get to market. Sometimes, you just have to rest, joke, and laugh. From my journals, I’ve gleaned the names of the kids: Rosa, Michele, Rachel, Rebecca and Bong-Bong. Sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 12x18, 24x17
