Garden Girl

One day, after giving some seeds to one of the communities I work with, I found this girl planting and weeding in a small garden plot. The net, used to keep out chickens, made her look more serious, determined, and inspiring. When I made this image, I was reminded of Steve McCurry's Afgan Girl image. There are some of us that still believe that eyes that show determination and dedication can change the world, or, at least, keep alive forests and their stories. Sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 12x18, 17x24
