Ice Cream in the Forest

These three images are of two Penan girls indulging in ice cream. Literally, the word for this fruit is prounced ice cream. The green gourd-like fruits are plucked from branches, wrestled with (always mandatory) and then split open and tasted. The cone like covering is quite thick, keeping the fruits cool and juicy. In the process of making these images and eating fruit I developed my own skills at wrestling, tasting, and tree climbing. Three images mounted together mounted in 16x20 or 30x40 matts.
