Late Night, Forest Camp
Close to the Kalimantan border, we work to process and salt meet. Candles, stories, and the smell of a cooking fire fill the night. Later, when we were sleeping, I woke up to yelps. Then I felt stinging pains in on my legs. Fire ants, one of the dangers of the forest, had invaded our camp. We shook the ants off, yelped some more, and jumped in the river to ward off the pain. The next morning, over coffee and swollen feet we finally laughed. Sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 12x18
