Fires of 2003, Lake McDonald
In the summer of 2003, 136,000 acres burned in Glacier National Park after a five year drought. This was the largest fire in Glacier since 1910. In the summer of 2006, 26,000 acres burned in the park. Repressing some of these fires, and letting some of them burn, is all part of an effort to alow fire ecology to play a role within ecosystems of the one million acre park. Sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 12x18
